Festive Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to another post on the Festive Friday Blog Hop!! If you came from April's blog then you are in the right place! This is a circular hop, you can start anywhere and just work your way around (you will find a list of all the participating blogs at the bottom of this post). Hope this will spark your creativity!!

I re-created the advent calender in our Holidays From The Heart Gift Guide on page 3. I did change a couple of things to suite my needs...I didn't have the Sparkle & Shine Assortment so I made my own flags and a rosette from the Artiste cartridge. I also did not have all the washi tape that was used...I made due with what I had on hand!! Because that what we crafters do right?!

Festive Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to another post on the Festive Friday Blog Hop!! If you came from April's blog you are in the right place! This is a circular hop, you can start anywhere and just work your way around (you will find a list of all of the blogs at the bottom of this post). Enjoy!!

I wanted to share what I have been creating this past week. Everyone I know is going to get one of these Holdiday Deco Boxes for Christmas!! If you don't recognize the design on the front...its one of the overlays on the new Artbooking Cricut Cartridge! Just another way you can use this amazing cartridge!!

I used a glass craft box purchased at any craft store. Mine came from AC Moore, they were only $5 and I bought 6!! LOL I cut the vinyl out with my cricut machine and used the overlay on page 76 at 6 1/2" real dial size. Added a string of lights for the inside and some holiday ribbon around the outside to make it the complete package!!

Items I used:
A glass craft box (bought at local craft store)
Cricut vinyl (I used black but you can use any color)
String of Christmas lights (I used a white strand of 100)
Holiday ribbon (bought at any craft store)

CTMH Festive Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to my second posting in the CTMH Festive Friday Blog Hop!! If you have come from April's blog you are in the right place!!

Christmas is my FAVORITE holiday!! I wanted to create an album where I could scrapbook all of my favorite traditions, recipes, and decorations throughout the holiday season. So at the moment its empty since its only September, but I can't wait to fill it with my favorite things for this upcoming season!

I used the My Creations Kraft 3-Ring Album, covering the spine with Ruby Cardstock, and used our Geometric Backgrounds stamp set. The Jute Ribbon and Red Shimmer Trim were layered to run down along the edge of the Ruby Cardstock.. I covered one of the frames from Dimentional Elements Snapshots with Chocolate Cardstock, the background of the frame is B&T paper from Huntington, and cut the leaves out of Olive cardstock and the berries from Red Shimmer Trim. December was cut from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge and our brand new Green Glitter Paper. Memories was also cut from Artiste in Colonial White cardstock and then covered with Liquid Glass to give it the glossy look. Houndstooth Alphabets were used for 2013 and then inked with Bamboo Ink. The shapes were cut with the Artiste Cricut Cartridge in Olive and Bamboo Cardstock and then some Ruby Chevron Ribbon tied in a knot.

To purchase any of the items I used on this album click on the items above or visit my website www.theresamiller.ctmh.com. Now hop on over to Brenda's blog and thanks for stopping by!!

Welcome to the CTMH Festive Friday Blog Hop!!

If you have just came from April's bog you are in the right place! This is my very first blog hop and I'm so excited to take this creative jump!!

My entry this month is this snowflake card for the winter season! I used the BRAND NEW Frosted paper pack, Crystal Blue cardstock,  Colonial White cardstock, the NEW Minis Single Snowflake stamp, Swirls Around stamp set, Flakey Friends stamp set, Sparkles,  Whisper, Twilight, and Cotton Candy ink pads.

I started with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base, I cut my Frosted B&T paper at 5 1/4 x 4", 3 x 3", and 2 1/4 x 2 1/4", and I cut my Colonial White at 3 3/4 x 5", 2 3/4 x 2 3/4", and 2 x2". I used second generation stamping for the back ground with Whisper ink and one of the Swirls Around stamps. Then randomly stamped snowflakes from the Single Snowflake and Flakey Friends stamp set with Twilight and Cotton Candy ink. The sentiment was stamped with Twilight from Flakey Friends as well. I added three sparkles to three of my snowflakes to give it some glitz!! To purchase any of these items please visit my website or click on the items listed below!

Mastering the Blog World

So I've decided to give this blog another chance! It seems to take me an hour to do one simple thing! I hope I'm not the only one out there! But I did find some great blogs that help you design your own blog. So far my favorite has been http://thecutestblogontheblock.com. There are so many backgrounds, templates, banners, gadgets, and more to help you design your own personal blog. So far tonight I have replaced my old background, added a cute "scrappy-looking" title and centered it, and now I will find out if my signature that I designed works. My next task is to add some cute "Follow-Me" buttons for all the social sites!

Re-posted this because my signature didn't show up. It's fixed!! Yay!! I think I'm getting the hang of this!

MIA!!

I've been a little preoccupied with a little project I got myself into. I took on the challenge of making fabric covered flip flops and hair bows for the girls gymnastics team. Both my girls are on the team with like 28 other girls! So in between every day chaos I've been busy with that...and I am so glad for it to be over! LOL Well I will be able to see all the girls wearing them today, its the first meet of the season and I know they are going to look so cute!! I will post a picture later with the results!

Anyways now that those are done I can concentrate on my papercrafts. So look for my new post this week because I'm going to layitallout!! Get it layouts all week? I know its not that funny...I smiled at it though! Have a great weekend!!

My Mini-Me Album

My mini-album was a challenge for me. I scrapbook about everyone else (mostly my kids) and never myself or my husband. Like the rest of us I'm the one behind the camera. Well my new challenge is to take more pictures of myself and scrapbook about it.

The mini album was fun and easy to create with the paper pack Avonlea (one of my favorites right now), Scholastic paper packet, and the brand new Cricut Arstiste cartridge. The pages of the mini album are dimentional elements that come in the Cricut Artiste Collection. I covered the dimentiional pages with our Avonlea paper which I cut out with the Artiste cartridge.
On the cover of the album I used our Houndstooth Alphabet for the title and inked in one of our brand new colors Slate.
I also added some Silver Shimmer Trim and a flowers from the Floret Papers Shapes pack throughout the album.
I used the brand new Approved Acrylic stamp set to make pockets, sayings and tabs.

Materials used:
z1790 Cricut Artiste Collection
c1521 My Acrylix Approved

x7159b Scholastic Paper Packet
