Dogwood Weekend Scrapbook Retreat

Getting ready for the first scrapbook retreat in October! I'm so excited to be organizing a fun-filled weekend with non-stop cropping! If you would like a weekend away with your friends this is the perfect place to be. Please contact me here for more information!

Retreat Details:

*Cost is $80 with double occupancy or $130 for single.

*Arrival time is after 3pm on Friday, October 26th

*Checkout is 3pm on Sunday, October 28th

*Everyone will get their own 6ft table

*Meals are as follows:
    Friday is on your own (many places to stop at on the way which are 10-15 minutes from the camp)
    Heavy snack on Friday night
    Saturday and Sunday is pot luck. (A sign-up sheet will be sent to you via email a week before the
    retreat)
*Make-n-takes and classes will be offered upon request

MIA!!

I've been a little preoccupied with a little project I got myself into. I took on the challenge of making fabric covered flip flops and hair bows for the girls gymnastics team. Both my girls are on the team with like 28 other girls! So in between every day chaos I've been busy with that...and I am so glad for it to be over! LOL Well I will be able to see all the girls wearing them today, its the first meet of the season and I know they are going to look so cute!! I will post a picture later with the results!

Anyways now that those are done I can concentrate on my papercrafts. So look for my new post this week because I'm going to layitallout!! Get it layouts all week? I know its not that funny...I smiled at it though! Have a great weekend!!

Scrapbook Crop and Weekend Retreat Schedule

I am so excited to be hosting my own crops and weekend retreats! I've been working hard on finding a place and narrowing down the dates.

All-day Saturday Crops:

Cost is $15, get your own large table and scrap for 12 hours!!

My Mini-Me Album

My mini-album was a challenge for me. I scrapbook about everyone else (mostly my kids) and never myself or my husband. Like the rest of us I'm the one behind the camera. Well my new challenge is to take more pictures of myself and scrapbook about it.

The mini album was fun and easy to create with the paper pack Avonlea (one of my favorites right now), Scholastic paper packet, and the brand new Cricut Arstiste cartridge. The pages of the mini album are dimentional elements that come in the Cricut Artiste Collection. I covered the dimentiional pages with our Avonlea paper which I cut out with the Artiste cartridge.

On the cover of the album I used our Houndstooth Alphabet for the title and inked in one of our brand new colors Slate.

I also added some Silver Shimmer Trim and a flowers from the Floret Papers Shapes pack throughout the album.

I used the brand new Approved Acrylic stamp set to make pockets, sayings and tabs.

Close To My Heart Convention, New Idea Book, New Products, and MORE!!

I have been a Close To My Heart Consultant for two years now and I just attended my very first Convention in Dallas, TX! I had so much fun that I have already made plans to go to the next one in Orlando, FL! I may have gone alone, but I met so many wonderful Close To My Heart sisters, and they made me feel right at home. One of my favorite things I got to do there was participate in the card swaps. I only got around to making 75 of them...I know sad right? But I brought home 75 new cards with all diferent levels of talent. Next year I will make more!

I came back from my first CTMH convention recharged! I met so many new CTMH sisters, especially my roommate Audrey. The classes were awesome, the products BEAUTIFUL, the inspiration speeches brought on so many tears, and all I have to say I want to do it all over again!! I have so many new ideas swimming around in my head right now...and there is just not enough time in the day to get anything done! I have been ordering new business cards, Idea Books, Convention Bundles, and redesining my blog since yesterday! Thanks to my husband for the blog help! I can't wait to share everything with all my scrappy friends!! O and I almost forgot...I changed the name of my blog to the sassy scrapper! Just thought it was time for a change!

Cupcake Birthday Cards

All of a sudden my girls have been invited to several birthday parties! So last week I whipped up some cupcake birthday cards out of scraps I've been wanting to use because I hate throwing away anything that has potential.

Late start to 2012!

I apologize to anyone who is following me...the last few months..well lets just say where did they go?! LOL Two of the kids had trips to Washington D.C. and NYC which I chaperoned both!! Fifth graders to D.C. and seventh/eighth graders to NYC....I know, I'm a bit on the crazy side!! We had so much fun though and I would do it again in a heart beat!

So my scrapping and crafting has been neglected and I'm ready to tackle my passion again! I did complete my sister-in-law's wedding album last week so I'll post that today, I did not use CTMH products because I have promised myself to scrap with whatever I already own. Trying to save money this year like everyone else lately. I also made a Valentines rag wreath yesterday and whipped up some quick birthday cards for kids!

I have some scrapbooking goals for this year, which includes stay current with my blog and facebook page, it helps that I already have three retreats to attend for the year!! Yay! Who doesn't love scrapbook retreats?? Here's to a new year of getting crafty!!
